God of Malice(#1)

I have officially entered the Rinaverse, everyone and I realized I have been missing out so much in life. “God of Malice” – the first book of Legacy of Gods series by Rina Kent – is a wild ride that you might want to add to your TBR pile. For all the dark romance readers, buckle up to dive into the whirlwind world of Killian and Glyndon, with some seriously messed-up characters, a side of danger and suspense.

To the ones whose type is an unapologetic villain.

If you can’t handle morally black characters, please do NOT proceed. But if you’re looking forward for a real morally black person like me, this book is for you (Who like vanilla nowadays, anyways). There are some serious warnings also (which I ignored like I ignore red flags in boys), so know your triggers before you read.

The Unapologetic Villain

The main character of God of Malice, Killian Carson, is not a bad boy who is finally reformed; rather, he is a real psychopath. He is a villain with very questionable deeds. Fourth year med student, despite being only nineteen. The charming god of The King’s U. Some people are beautiful, and some are hot, but then there’s Killian’s body that’s personification of masculine perfection. Oh, and I forget to mention, that Kill is a genius and his plans never fails (Well, u would have caught that from the med school and all). He’s the kind of guy who makes you question your own sanity. As dangerous as he is captivating. Manipulative. Cold-blooded. Savage. A powerful figure in the criminal underworld. (Okay, I’m done obsessing over the male lead, let’s move on.)

Our Heroine

Now for our heroine, Glyndon King. She’s brave, self-sufficient, and not readily seduced by Killian’s dark charm. Glyndon is a strong-willed woman with her own difficult past. She doesn’t just fall for Killian’s dark appeal; she confronts it. Her strength and resolve provide an ideal counterweight to Killian’s gloomy intensity. A studio art student. AND, Killian’s new obsession.

A Dangerous Game of Obsession

The relationship between Killian and Glyndon is anything but smooth. It’s a mix of push and pull, with both characters constantly testing each other’s limits. The aftermaths of catching the attention of a monster, because it’s the thing about monsters they always chase. It’s a psychopath and good girl trope, one of the kinds where the guy hates everyone except her. Some people would say it’s a enemies to lovers, and I am that some people. But there are several reasons for why should you fall for the villain not a hero? For starters, they would burn down the world for you.

Not all girls like the hero. I was fated to fall in love with the villain. Because I know, I just know that he’ll put me ahead of everyone. Himself included.

The moment when Killian realizes that this isn’t just another obsession of his is such a moment of satisfaction. The moment when he realizes he could set the world on fire for her.

I have not a shadow of a doubt that the little rabbit is flipping my world upside down. And I’ll let her. Because she’s mine. And I’ll set the whole fucking world on fire to make sure she remains safe.

A Plot Full of Twists and Turns

One of the best parts of “God of Malice” is the plot. Rina Kent weaves a story filled with unexpected twists and turns that will keep you on edge. Just when you think you’ve figured out where the story is headed, there’s another surprise around the corner. (Not me ignoring the whole plot twist and be like yeah hey the question is here. He said WHO THE FUCK DID THIS TO YOU? This is my favorite line in all these dark verse novels, I’m not even kidding. *shouting aggressively with butterflies in stomach*)

Should You Read It?

If you’re into dark romance with complex characters and a plot full of suspense, “God of Malice” is definitely worth checking out. It’s a captivating story that will keep you guessing and glued to the pages. Killian and Glyndon’s journey is intense and unforgettable, making it a standout read in the genre.
