God of Fury(#5)

Ofcourse I skipped to the 5th book after reading the 1st one when I found out its MM romance. “God of Fury” – the fifth book of legacy of gods series by Rina Kent not only has my heart but also my kidneys, liver and everything else. I’m obsessed with Thailand bls (boys’ love) lately so it made scene that I skipped all the three books in series to read my first MM romance book and it was soooooooooooo good. (I can also recommend some thaibls if someone wants to give a try, they are totally worth it – We are, Love in the air, Pit Babe, KinnPorsche, Love Sea, Cutie Pie, TharnType, etc. They all are so good, especially We are the series is the best series of all time. There are so many more if anybody want recommendations, let me know. Never going to disappoint you.) Okay, back to my new favorite book “God of Fury”-

To the ones who scream in silence

Everyone did say to read the books in the order but there isn’t much of a difference, the first scene of this book was almost in the 3rd chapter of first book that means they happen in the same timeline. Yeah, it could contain some spoilers at the end of the book but not that many. So, it’s fine. If anyone is a BL fan and wants to read this first, go ahead; what are you waiting for? But for those who are not BL fans, let me fill you in on why this book should be your next read or your next favorite book (not me getting ahead of myself).

Favorite Couple

Brandon King, who belongs to one of the most influential families in the UK, if not the most influential, isn’t attracted to men. Or so he thought until Nikolai Sokolov. Nikolai is a mafia heir, a notorious bastard, and a violent monster. On the other hand, Brandon is a quiet artist, a golden boy, and Nikolai’s enemy’s twin brother. Brandon caught Nikolai’s attention at one of the latter’s boxing matches. If this book would have been a soft romance, we could have used the words ‘love at first sight,’ but since it’s a bit dark so – Niko finds Bran hot and he wants to fuck him senselessly, so he went in full stalker mode. He wanted to toy with Brandon and use him against his brother but ended up giving us high standards and the most perfect story (a love story for ages). I collected some points to prove my last line, some of Nikolai’s moments –

  • Seems that Bran runs way deeper than I thought, but as he hangs on to me as if I’m his only anchor, I know that I’ll never let him go. Not even if I burn with him. For him. In him. I’d willingly catch fire if he so much as asked me to.
  • “Absolutely, and, baby?” He kisses the top of my head and his next words nearly give me a heart attack. “Even if you hate yourself, I’ll love you for the both of us.”
  • “Remember when you told me to tell you something in Russian?” “You said I was cute.” “No. I said ‘I can’t live without you,’ and we take that quite literally in Russia.” “Aw, Nikolai.” “Point is, I love the loving fuck out of you, baby.”

(He said I LOVE THE LOVING FUCK OUT OF YOU. Yeah, I know I love you seems so outdated after reading this.)

A Psychological Thriller

God of Fury is more than just a romance novel; it’s a psychological thriller that explores the darker side of human nature. Kent masterfully weaves a tale of obsession, control, and the destructive power of love. The novel is a gripping read that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Brandon deals with a lot of pressure and suicidal thoughts but the love Nikolai provides him changes his perspective and helps in his self-growth. Brandon also pays a big role in Nikolai’s mental health. So, this love goes beyond everything.

A Controversial Topic

It’s important to note that God of Fury deals with mature themes, including violence, abuse, and toxic relationships. The novel is not for the faint of heart and may be triggering for some readers. However, for those who are willing to delve into the darker side of romance, this book offers a compelling and thought-provoking experience. Anyways, this book is so worth the hype, no wait, it needs more hype, yeah totally, everyone should read this at least once.

Should You Read It?

I mean, it’s pretty obvious how much I adore or uk fucking love this book. So, ofcourse you should read it too. Totally recommended. 5 out of 5 stars for the ending with the sweetest and most heart-throbbing confession and proposal. Making me fall in love with love more. I mean I couldn’t stop smiling at those moments, I might never have smiled that much over any real guy or any real couple. And the part where Nikolai gets a lotus flower tattoo with an elegant font that reads Property of B. King over his heart, so Brandon also gets his first tattoo that reads Niko’s lotus flower. Feeling the love? Because I’m overwhelmed by it.

In a nut shell, God of Fury is a thrilling, heart-pounding addition to the Legacy of God series. With Nikolai and Brandon leading the charge, you’re in for a wild ride full of intensity, passion, and high stakes. So, grab your copy, settle in, and get ready to be swept away by the fury and fire of Rina Kent’s another masterpiece.
