Okay, so I have a confession: I have never been so obsessed with a series like I am with S.T.Abby’s Mindfuck series, so much that I started questioning my morals and mentality. This isn’t just a book- it’s a journey through chaos, pain, revenge, and yes, the kind of love that makes you question your own moral compass. “They took too much. Left too little. I had nothing to lose….until him.” If that line doesn’t send chills down your spine, nothing will. If you’re into dark, twisted, edge-of-your-seat thrillers with characters who make you feel every single emotion (from rage to empathy), then trust me, you NEED to check this out.
Lana Myers: The Ultimate Badass (Serial Killer)
Introducing our not so typical heroine, Lana Myers. She’s flawed, to put it mildly, Lana is out for blood. Ten years ago, her life was destroyed by a group of sadistic monsters. They thought they’d left her for dead. Big mistake. Because guess what? She didn’t die. Nope. Instead, she spent those years training, plotting and waiting for the perfect moment to implement her plan. Her plan was simple – revenge. She’s turned into this faceless nightmare, a cold-blooded killer who’s now hunting down the names on her list, one by one, painting the town red (literally) as she goes. I couldn’t help but feel a sense of satisfaction as she takes down those who have wronged her.
However, she’s not just a killing machine- she’s a woman with a heart. “Shakespeare was one of the few philosophers who believed in revenge. Then again, he was a romantic. Romantics always believe in revenge, because romantics love harder, suffer loss more painfully, and hold onto a grudge that has shattered their hearts.” (I started loving Shakespeare more after reading this book, fuck the way he put how one should always seek revenge had they been wronged is so true)
Logan Bennett: The FBI agent
Logan is everything Lana isn’t. He’s a hero—he fights for justice, he protects the innocent, and he has a thing for saving the world. He doesn’t know that the woman he’s falling for is the very killer he’s trying to catch. And there’s something so messed up but also beautiful about their relationship. Here’s a man who would never believe Lana is capable of murder, yet he’s drawn to her in a way he can’t explain.
But what happens when the hero falls in love with the villain? Logan has no idea the woman he loves is the one painting the town red with vengeance. He’s clueless. This dynamic? Unbelievable. Every page I turn, I wonder whose side would Logan take –justice’s or Lana’s?
Revenge, Revenge, and More Revenge
If you’ve ever found yourself fantasizing about revenge—like, really intense revenge—Lana’s your girl. She’s the embodiment of cold, calculated vengeance. And her reasoning? They took everything from me. Now, I’m taking it back.
You heard the saying – “Revenge is best served cold”? This is how Lana serves it! With precision, with patience, and with a cold, calculated fury. She doesn’t just get even—she makes sure they feel every ounce of her pain.
As Einstein said, “The weak revenge. The strong forgive. The intelligent ignore.” But let’s be real—Lana is out to prove that Einstein wasn’t always right. They never saw her coming, until she paint their walls red.
The way Abby weaves Lana’s backstory into the present is chef’s kiss. You don’t just understand why Lana is doing what she’s doing—you feel it. Her need for justice is raw, and while she’s not exactly “good,” you’ll find yourself sympathizing with her in ways you didn’t expect. And when those final moments of sweet, bloody justice come? You’ll be cheering for her even if you’re not sure if you should be. (This is where I questioned my morals, I never loved a female lead so much before.)
The Philosophical Side of Revenge
What I loved most about this series is how it elevates revenge to almost an art form. Abby doesn’t just show you a bloodthirsty killer—she shows you a woman who’s been scarred so deeply that vengeance is her only way to survive. There’s this constant tug-of-war between what’s morally right and what’s justifiable given the horrors Lana’s experienced.
In fact, there are moments where Abby pulls in some heavy quotes from Shakespeare and other philosophers, and, honestly, I wasn’t expecting to get all deep while reading about a woman who’s slicing through bad guys. But the writing? It hits. Take this line from Lana: “To defeat a monster, you have to be twice as monstrous.” That’s some heavy stuff, right? You can’t help but reflect on your own ideas of justice and how far you’d go for revenge.
And don’t even get me started on the quotes from Lana herself. She’s this philosophical mix of pain and passion, always questioning the world around her, all while tracking down those who wronged her. And if you’ve ever asked yourself if revenge is worth it, this series will make you think twice.
The Romance… In the Midst of Carnage
Now, let’s talk romance. Because yes, there’s romance here—but it’s not some sweet, innocent love story. It’s messy. It’s gritty. It’s real. Lana’s love for Logan is a tornado—turbulent, unpredictable, and, in some ways, impossible. Their relationship has its fair share of emotional punches, and it’s not always sunshine and rainbows. But it’s also tender in places you wouldn’t expect. They’re two people who should never be together, but they can’t help but be drawn to each other. Can love survive the darkest of secrets?
The Cliffhanger That Will Haunt You
By the time you finish the first book, your mind is in overdrive. The plot twists? Oh. My. God. The revelations? Don’t even get me started. Just when you think you know where the story is heading, S.T. Abby pulls the rug out from under you. Each book leaves you gasping, “What just happened?” And you’re left on the edge of your seat, desperately needing more, but also terrified about what comes next.
Honestly, I can’t remember the last time a series had me this invested. Every book pulls you deeper into Lana’s world, and by the end of it, you’ll either be in awe of her or questioning all your own beliefs about justice, love, and revenge. The Mindfuck Series is one of those rare reads that keeps you up at night, obsessively thinking about the characters long after you’ve closed the book.
Final Thoughts
So, yeah. If you’re looking for a series that’s equal parts disturbing, thrilling, and emotionally gut-wrenching, this is it. Mindfuck isn’t just a title—it’s the experience. Lana Myers is a force to be reckoned with, and if you’ve ever wanted a heroine who takes justice into her own hands, this is your chance to live vicariously through her. Be prepared for an emotional rollercoaster, and just know this: Revenge has never been so deliciously complex.
Now excuse me while I go look for a self-defense class and start planning my next revenge fantasy.
Mindfuck Series? More like mind-blown series. (I have written two blogs about this already but can’t help feel that I couldn’t express how good this book is. Ahhh how annoying! So be free for more blogs about this series)
